That might be best in the end. I just don't think 65 is the right number. I'd think it could be done better with out 80 in the top division. That said, there are only about 10-15 of the 80 that could ever win a FBS national championship. But there has to be a robust regular season that would need the other 65-70 teams to pull off.

I think Greg Sankey is saying that if they push for this playoff, they need to understand they are also pushing for this separation. And if you separate in football, separate in all sports as well. What does that do to the Big East and Atlantic 10 who want to have basketball leagues at the top?
